The 7-Bone Steak

Named for the naturally occuring “7” shape in the bone (caused by cross-cutting the shoulder blade), the 7-Bone steak boasts a portion of the popular flat-iron steak along with a generous portion of chuck steak.

This is tough cut of meat and is traditionally braised, however, with an overnight marinade this steak grills with flavorful results.

Suggested Marinade (overnight):

  •  3/4 cup Soy Sauce (or the common amino acid substitute works)

  • 3/4 cup Honey

  • 2 TBS minced garlic

  • 1 TBS freshly grated ginger - optional

 Note:

Grill, after marinating, on low-medium heat. If you grill this on a super hot grill, it will most likely chew like leather.
Also, a low-medium heat will help the cook not burn the honey while the steak cooks.

We make grass finished bone broth that simmers for 72+ hours!
